Fitting

  • Will it fit my vehicle? The sensors screw onto standard Schrader valve stems, which is what almost every car, truck, trailer and RV in North America uses. If your valve stems take a normal air-pump fitting, they will fit.
  • Do I need a mechanic? No. Unscrew the valve cap, screw the sensor on in its place, hand tight. The whole set takes a few minutes.
  • Will it work on a trailer as well as the truck? Yes. The kit ships with four sensors and supports up to six sensors — enough to cover a tow vehicle and trailer together.
  • Does it need wiring? No. The display is solar with a USB-C backup, and the sensors are battery powered.

Using it

  • How long before it shows a reading? Usually within a minute of driving off. The sensors wake on movement to preserve battery, so a parked vehicle can take longer to report.
  • Does it need an app or a subscription? No app, no account, no subscription. The display works on its own.
  • What happens if a tyre loses pressure? The display alarms and shows which position is affected, so you know which wheel to check before you stop.
  • Will cold weather change my readings? Yes, and that is the point. Tyre pressure drops as temperature drops, so a cold morning genuinely does lower your pressure — the display shows you rather than leaving you to guess.

Power and battery

  • Does the display need charging? It charges from the sun through the windscreen. The USB-C port is there for winter or a garaged vehicle.
  • How long do the sensor batteries last? The sensors run on small user-replaceable batteries designed for long service life. Exact life varies with driving frequency and temperature, but when one does run down you swap it in minutes — no need to replace the sensor.
  • Is it waterproof? The sensors are IP67 rated, so road spray and weather are not a problem.
